On 20th and 21st September Pyroban will exhibit at Chimie Lyon 2017, an exhibition devoted to the French chemical industry.
Pyroban converts many different types of materials handling equipment for use within the Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22 hazardous areas found in a range of different chemical businesses. At the event, Pyroban experts will speak directly to the French chemical industry to highlight upcoming changes to standards and the importance of the annual safety audit to maintain safety and compliance.
The updated EN1755:2015 affects new Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22 materials handling equipment orders placed in 2017, and ongoing maintenance requirements thereafter. The changes mean that the technical makeup of an ATEX 2014/34/EU truck conversion will be different. Requirements have also changed for tyres, seats, batteries, and other ancillary products. Service engineers will also need to be trained for the new requirements.
