Pyroban is now shipping explosion protected trucks built to the new EN1755:2015 standard.
From November 2017, the technical requirements for explosion protection increased to an even higher level of safety, particularly for trucks used in Zone 2 hazardous areas. It has taken Pyroban® almost two years and significant investment to create new solutions and update products to achieve ATEX 2014/34/EU** compliance in line with the new EN1755:2015 standard.
In particular, safety related controls now need to meet the latest functional safety requirements in all Zones. Pyroban has achieved this on system6000™, the gas detection solution for Zone 2, through PLc in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1.
The first few fleets have now left the Pyroban factories built to EN1755:2015 standards.
The first Crown Reach Trucks converted by Pyroban to meet the new EN1755:2015 for Zone 2 operation.
