Launched in 1999 and retired in early 2015, Pyroban has now ended parts support for its OCB (offshore control board) which was previously used as an alternative to mechanical shutdown systems on electronic controlled diesel engines.
In support of customers with assets that are still using these, we have a final buy of 3 x control boards to the first customers who contact us .
After this Pyroban can now retrofit its PCS 2 as part of a planned refurbishment process.
Pyroban PCS 2 is a passive protection system which allows diesel engines and power systems to be safely operated in a Zone 1 or Zone 2 certified hazardous area meeting the requirements of ATEX and IECEx. The PCS 2 system protects against engine overspeed, over temperature, loss of oil pressure and also has an emergency stop facility.
We are advising customers to contact us about the upgrade before any equipment failure situation occurs.
In addition, we are also offering a 6% discount on every Ever Clear exhaust flame arrestor ordered with an OCB upgrade to PCS 2. Ever Clear eliminates the need for daily exhaust flame arrestor cleaning and can easily be fitted onsite at the same time. It means that customers would then be able to safely leave the dummy flame arrestors in place.
