With the UK leaving the EU and entering another lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic, 2021 has certainly started with challenges for some operations.

However, when it comes to technical support , engineers, parts, training, and more, Pyroban continues to provide all the services you expect, and need.

No change post-BREXIT

Long before BREXIT was in our collective vocabulary, Pyroban was doing business all around the world, and continues to do so. Our team remains in place ready to supply and support new and existing customers across the EU, providing ATEX materials handling equipment conversions for all zones, alongside Ex engine kits and packages, parts supply , full engineer support and Ex ASA Annual Safety Audits .

Though there may be some processes and certifications that change slightly for us as an exporter, whether you’re in the EU or Great Britain, you can benefit from the same service and all the same leading explosion protection solutions.

Pyroban exports products all over the world every single day and our processes are designed to adapt to the requirements, legislation, and standards of any country or union. BREXIT is no different. However, if you have any questions about how this affects an order, don’t hesitate to contact us .

Supporting safety during Covid-19

Protecting people is always Pyroban’s top priority. That is why during the coronavirus pandemic, we have continued to work to keep people safe in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Our service teams are considered key workers for critical industries across the globe, providing equipment, maintenance services and back-up support to keep essential operations running safely – from factories through to oil and gas applications.

The guidance is clear that any essential inspection or maintenance that is due should still take place during lockdown. So, Ex-ASA Annual Safety Audits can also still take place if we are permitted to enter your site. Though social distancing and additional safety and hygiene measures must be in place.

Planning ahead

With all the uncertainty faced in 2020, it may feel difficult to think ahead, but there are some key things that should be considered for ensuring ongoing safety in applications with ATEX zones.

Remember, if your operations handling flammable material have been suspended during lockdown you may need to take steps to ensure the safety of your Ex equipment before restarting operations . Manufacturing operations restarting after idle periods are more susceptibility to fire, explosion, or machinery breakdown.

If your training plans have moved off course over the past year, remember that your Pyroban trained engineers may be due to attend their refresher/re-certification course. This is essential for safety as only specially trained engineers should ever work on Ex equipment, and it will also help prevent downtime further along the line.

See 2021 available course dates and book training now.
